Two Rupee Coins: Republic India-IV

Two Rupee Coins

Two Rupee Coins
This theme of Rs 2 coin was national integration since the creation of the piece of 2 rupees in 1982, and the design continued until 2004-05, when the controversial Rs 2 with the cross was introduced. The reverse of this coin shows the name, country and the symbol four-headed lion. The obverse shows the map of India. The small dots on the left are the Lakshadweep Islands, and the dotted line below the "national integration" for registration and the Andaman and Nicobar. Registration Hindi above the map indicates "Rashtriya Ekta" which means national integration. The date can be seen at the bottom. This was the first design of the Rs 2 coin, first published in 1990.
